Players' scoring system

The players’ scores are based on data provided by Opta, the official partner for collecting statistics. The actions considered refer exclusively to regular time and injury time.

The score is calculated as the sum of the following statistical values:

Notes:

  • The Captain’s score is multiplied by 1.5.

  • An assist will not be awarded if the decisive pass is significantly deflected by a defender of the opposing team.

  • Provoked Own Goal is the bonus given to the player who, during an attacking action, causes an opponent to score an own goal.

  • The Penalty Won Bonus is not awarded if the penalty is caused by a handball by the opponent.

  • A player who is sent off or booked while off the field or after the end of the match will receive the penalty only if he has already played or will play in the match.

  • The Clean Sheet Bonus is awarded only if the player has played at least 60 minutes, and at the end of the match, his team has not conceded a goal.
