# Player Value and Capital Gains

Every Kickest player has a market value expressed in **Credits (CR)**.

Throughout the season, player values can increase or decrease based on their performances on the pitch.

Identifying players who are likely to increase in value can help you grow your available budget and build an increasingly competitive squad.

At the end of each Round, every player’s value is updated by comparing their expected performance based on their current price with the Fantasy score they actually achieved.

In other words:

* if a player performs better than expected for their market value, their price increases;
* if a player performs below expectations, their price decreases.

The size of the value change depends on both the player’s performance and their initial market value.

When a player’s value increases, the difference becomes a **capital gain**.

By selling a player, you will receive their updated value in full, increasing the budget available for future transfers.

Building a squad capable of generating capital gains is one of the key strategic elements of Kickest and allows you to have greater flexibility in the transfer market throughout the season.

A player who does not appear in a match receives **0 FPT** and suffers a small value reduction of **-0.1 CR**.

💡 **A Tip**

Don’t only look for players who will score the most points.

Look for players who could be worth more in the coming weeks.

Anticipating a player’s growth means increasing your budget and having more opportunities to improve your squad throughout the season.
