# Match Predictor Rules

The **Match Predictor** is an interactive quiz where the goal is to predict the final result and the exact score of every Serie A match.

It is available during every **Round** and includes all scheduled matches.

The objective is to get as many predictions correct as possible and climb the leaderboard.

***

## HOW TO PLAY

You can enter or edit your predictions from the moment the **Round opens** until **1 minute before kick-off** of each individual match.

Even if you join a **Round already in progress**, you can still make predictions for matches that have not started yet.

The quiz supports **partial saving**, meaning you can fill in your predictions gradually and come back later to complete or update them.

***

## GAME PHASES

Each **Round** goes through the following phases:

### Quiz Open

Predictions are available.

When a new **Round** opens, you can start playing. You have until the start of each match to submit or edit your predictions.

### Quiz In Progress

Some matches have already started.

You can still make changes, but only for matches that have not kicked off yet.

In the meantime, you can follow the live scores.

## HOW POINTS ARE CALCULATED

Each prediction earns points according to the following rules:

✅ **Correct result** (e.g. predicting the winning team): **10 points**

✅ **Exact score** (e.g. correctly predicting the number of goals scored by both teams): **24 points**

❌ **Wrong prediction:** **0 points**

The total number of points collected across all **Rounds** determines your position in the **Overall Ranking**.

In case of a tie, the manager who registered on Kickest first takes the higher position.
